Nagarjunakonda is an ancient Buddhist site located in Andhra Pradesh, India. Once an island in the Krishna River, it is renowned for its archaeological significance and contains numerous stupas and monasteries dating back to the 3rd century BCE. The site was part of the ancient Satavahana dynasty and submerged after the construction of the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam.
